Innis Orientation 2019
Colours shape the way we see the world. It starts off basic with red, yellow and blue. But when we mix them all together, the results are infinite and uniquely individual. Each hue presents distinct emotions, identities, and associations that form all of our lived experiences.
Colour also has the capacity to illustrate the diverse and inclusive community that exists at Innis. Life in Colour presents a splash of red, blue, and yellow which lays the foundation for all first-year experiences. From here on out, we all have the opportunity to choose which hues and tones colour in our lives. Hopefully, by the end of our journeys here at Innis, we will have built a vibrant kaleidoscope of experiences, memories, and friendships.
Orientation is the bridge that connects incoming students with the College, the Community, and the University. Innis College is home to students from all backgrounds and walks of life, and Innis Orientation aims to transition all of these diverse students into university life.
Throughout the week, we hope to link students to the variety of resources, services, opportunities, and networks that Innis College and the University of Toronto have to offer. By creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for everyone, Orientation builds a shared sense of identity and the community supports that students need to thrive in their academic and personal endeavours. At the end of the day, Orientation is about meeting new people, having fun, and starting the year off right!
