Office of Student Life
The Office of Student Life is often referred to by students as “OSL.” Located on the first floor of 111 St.George Street, The OSL is open from 9AM to 5PM EST, Monday to Friday. The Office of Student Life provides a number of workshops and programs aimed at enriching the lives of all Innis students. The staff can provide one-on-one assistance with more personal concerns and they also oversee residence inquiries through the residence email.

Dean of Students:
My name is Steve Masse and I have the great privilege of being Dean of Students and leading the Office of Student Life at Innis College.
My team and I are responsible for overseeing the residence and all student life activities. These include a wide array of orientation, mentorship, leadership, wellness, and community outreach opportunities designed to help you meet new friends, learn something new, and have some fun outside of the classroom! Although this year may not look exactly as you’d imagined, our staff, faculty, and student leaders are fully committed to ensuring that this year is both memorable and meaningful for you. If you happen to be attending campus in person this year, be sure to say hello!
My office is located on the main floor of the residence and I’d love for you to pop by and introduce yourself. You may also spot me around the College with my two pups, Beau and Lulu. They’re big fans of belly rubs! And if you’re studying remotely, I hope to see you at one of our many virtual events and activities that are upcoming. In the meantime, if there is anything my team and I can do to assist you in your transition to the College and U of T, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Until then!
Assistant Dean of
Student Life: Madi Frost
Welcome to Innis! My name is Madi and I am the Assistant Dean of Student Life. What does that mean? I am responsible for overseeing a variety of portfolios including (but not limited to) orientation and transition, leadership development, mentorship, career education, community engagement, and equity and inclusion. Broadly speaking, I am responsible for ensuring the best possible student experience for all of our Innisians!
I interact with incoming students through the different programs I run (Social Innovation Certificate, The Insider E-Mentorship, InSIGHT Peer Mentorship, and the Mental Health Skills Certificate to name a few). However, I am also a resource to reach out to for more personal matters. Not sure what to do or where to go? You can always reach out to me for assistance! One of my personal goals for this year is to get to know as many incoming students as possible. I love connecting with students, hearing about their passions, and helping them through any challenges they may face.
One of my personal and professional values is creating a community of care and connecting with students is at the core of that work. Fun fact about me: If I was not in Student Affairs, I would be working as an urban beekeeper and florist.
