Orientation

The International-Commuter Executive team would like to welcome all students to our joint International-Commuter Orientation (IC orientation)! This event will be an opportunity for students to meet each other and make friends, as well as a chance to meet upper-year students and gain valuable insight into life at UofT. IC Orientation will also be full of events in which students can gain points for their Elemental Empire and help them win the 2020 orientation championship!

Elements Unite event description

Students will hear opening remarks and a welcome message from the orientation executive team, as well as short talks from some of the College’s key staff members.

The Elements Within event description

Students will be placed into groups where they can get to know one another and leaders through a series of fun ice-breaker games.

Finding Your Element Q&A event descripti

A student panel where upper-year international and commuter students will share their experiences and tips for tackling life as a UofT student. After the panel there will be a short Q&A session where the panelist will answer audience questions.

Restoring Balance event description

Groups have to work together to put a series of scrambled sentences back in order. This challenge is also a chance for participants to win points for their Empire!

Exploring Your Empire event description.

The Commuter and International team has put together a short video tour of some key locations for incoming students at the St. George Campus. There will also be a special raffle that students can enter after watching the video for a chance to win some awesome prizes!

Break event description.

Time to rest, relax, grab a snack or even chat with peers. There will also be some brain teasers for another chance to win points for your Empire!

Clash of Elements event description.

In groups students will team-up to compete in three rounds of trivia, testing your knowledge on UofT, geography and Innis College. This event is also a chance to win Element points!
